Broccoli Salad

So delicious, this salad offers multiple nutrients possibly making it your new go-to salad!
Salad Ingredients:
2 heads of broccoli, washed, slightly steamed (optional), then chopped
¼ red onion, finely chopped
3 carrots, grated
1 tsp black sesame seeds
1 T hemp seeds
¼ cup raw cashews, chopped
¼ cup currants or organic raisins
pinch cayenne powder
1 T cumin, ground

Broccoli salad on a platter made by Willi Singleton.
Platter: http://www.willisingleton.com/
Combine all the salad ingredients into a large bowl and add the dressing of choice (below).

Dressing #1:
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
3 T balsamic vinegar
¼ cup organic mayonnaise (optional)
½ t garlic powder
dash sesame oil

Combine the ingredients and pour over the salad. Let sit for an hour or two (if possible) to let the flavors meld.

Dressing #2
1/2 cup organic mayonnaise
1/2 cup organic barbecue sauce (choose a variety that has ingredients you can pronounce)

This dressing can be spicy depending on the barbecue sauce. If you use this dressing, I recommend omitting the cumin and cayenne powder from the salad.
