8 oz coconut milk
1 cup frozen organic mango chunks
1/2 banana (optional, but tasty)
1 T ground flax seed
1/8 cup chia seeds (soaked in water*)
2 T protein powder (optional)
Whir it all up in a blender and enjoy!!!
*Add 1/4 cup of chia seeds to 1 cup of water. Stir a couple of times and allow to sit for about an hour. The water will be absorbed by the seeds. These can then be stored in the fridge for around a week to use as desired in all kinds of smoothies, oatmeal, etc. I find having the chia seeds already combined with water makes them easier to clean up after and they don't get stuck in your teeth so much.
